Kia Ora, I'm Guan Yu, I teach Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Mandarin up to university entrance level. I have a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours degree from Massey University Palmerston North, it is during my Uni years that I gained most of my tutoring experience, some of my students even became tutors themselves.

A little bit about myself, I came to NZ from Beijing when I was 10 and currently work at a government department in the CBD. I enjoy skating, scuba diving, quite a variety of music, and pretending I'm on MasterChef. During Christmas and Chinese New Year you can see me in the colourful dragon.

One of my proudest achievements is, when my brother was 5 years young, I taught him how to read an analogue clock at a lightning speed.

After working with over a hundred kids and young adults on Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Mandarin, I understand everyone has a different way of learning, I'll customise my methods to be the most effective and efficient for you, to help you connect with and enjoy the subjects you're learning and be successful.
